Meredith Gagnier

While in high school, Meredith danced competitively for a nationally recognized dance studio. Meredith studied dance at Western Michigan University and became a certified ballroom dance instructor after graduation. She continued her education working as an instructor at Chicago’s famous dance studio, Chicago Dance under World Theatre Arts Champions Tommye Giacchino and Gregory Day. After moving back to Michigan, Meredith worked as a choreographer and principal dancer for a music video called “Let’s Mambo” by Sean Forbes, which stars Academy Award Winning Actress Marlee Matlin and Professional Dancer Fabian Sanchez from ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. Meredith enjoys working with dancers of all ages and skill levels. She loves to teach because dance has been her long time passion, and she cannot imagine doing anything else. Meredith’s greatest joy is watching others fall in love with dancing just like she did. She believes there is nothing more rewarding than watching even the most “dance-challenged“ individual turn into a winner on the dance floor, whose newfound confidence and style can light up an entire room.

To watch someone grow, not only as a dancer, but as a person in that period of time is what drives me as an instructor. Just be careful….if you tell me you want to be a Champion, I’m going to be aggressively motivating you to help make it happen”.
